Cassandra¶

Our Apache Cassandra infrastructure serves as the high-performance backbone of our distributed data strategy, providing the linear scalability and “always-on” availability required for mission-critical workloads. By leveraging its peer-to-peer architecture, we ensure that our data remains resilient across global availability zones, eliminating single points of failure while maintaining sub-millisecond response times.

We are now evolving this stack by integrating the latest Vector Search capabilities directly into our Cassandra clusters. By extending the core storage engine to support high-dimensional vector embeddings, we have transformed Cassandra from a traditional NoSQL database into a potent Vector Store. This allows us to perform efficient k-nearest neighbour (k-NN) searches alongside standard CQL queries, enabling a unified approach where structured operational data and unstructured AI-driven insights live within the same scalable table structures.
